Welcome to Lake Wangary School

Lake Wangary School is recognised as a happy and dynamic educational environment, renowned for delivering high-quality educational service. Our school is well-resourced and supported by professional, knowledgeable staff who work collaboratively with families and the wider community. Together, we provide a comprehensive program of learning opportunities that are responsive to the needs of our students. Our student cohort is predominantly from Coffin Bay, approximately 15 kms from the school, as well as the expanding communities of Dutton Bay, Farm Beach, Wangary and Coulta. The majority of students commute to school by bus.

Our collaboratively developed school values—Creativity, Resilience and Responsibility—reflect the beliefs of our community.

The Minya Custodian Program, unique to Lake Wangary School, supports expeditionary learning in the local environment and fosters strong connections with the community.

Our broad and balanced curriculum prioritises Literacy and Numeracy, complemented by Indonesian language studies, sporting events, student leadership opportunities, visiting performing artists, and a strong student voice through the SRC.
